I'm still technically alive, but I don't know how active I am!😄

YES! A whole replicator bug with legs would be cool. It would be elaborate to 3D print it or to glue the individual blocks either way. Seems like I HAVE seen some out there that people have done.

31 minutes ago, Riceball said:You know, if/when I get a 3D printer, I think that one of the first things that I'll model and print would be Replicator blocks. It's a fairly simple shape which would be right up my alley and skill level. Heck, I might even have a go at printing a whole frame, that would be a simple matter of copy-pasting blocks then it would be a simple matter of figuring out just how big of a section I could print at a time.
Yeah, printing a whole section/side/frame at a time would be great. And straight! Do all the work, tweaking and spacing of the blocks in the computer. Then click PRINT, leave the printer to do its thing and go watch some Stargate!

Cool! Yeah, I didn't even pay close attention until after I posted both pictures that they were different.

Mine is like the one in the bottom picture. Top picture is of a different sculpt.

The place I was wanting to buy one from said they couldn't get the magnets and lights for them anymore. But they let me buy the hunk of clear green resin.
I'll do the rest myself.
Does anybody have one of these that they can show me the back and the parts?
I was going to go to Dollar Tree and look around and see what cheap LED flashlight or puck light I could dissect for the light.
I'm going to buy some little magnets and drill and glue them in the back and make a thin metal plate to put under the top garment I'm wearing.
Thought I'd check here with you kind people first to see what you can show me.
I found some reference pictures online to show this cool little nifty.

Anybody ever done any Photoshop work on their SG photos? Like putting in Zat electricity shots or Jaff staff blasts? I intend to do a photo shoot this summer with some of my buddies in our SG attire at a cave near me. Now that I finally got around to finishing my open staff head, I want to do some pictures of me "firing" the staff, and then Photoshop in the blast coming from the staff. Maybe even put a death glider or Tel'tak up in the sky, if I can get the angles right. I'm going to search out some good glider and Tel'tak pics and take some printouts with me to help line up the shots. Or even better, get 3D models of them and take pictures and integrate them into shot. I've started a list of shots I want to get on the photo shoot. Jaffa staff shots, shooting Zats, discovering replicator blocks inside the cave, stuff like that. A posed shot of the team or two, but mostly candid shots.

Got off my butt and finished assembling and painting the open staff head that Brian Capri hooked me up with. I got FAIRLY close to matching the paint job of the closed head my staff came with. I bought it years ago from Legends Canada. The heads are threaded and I can swap them out.
I tried to post this under the JAFFA section, but it wouldn't highlight and let me select it.

2) Joe7thOVC (Southeast Ohio)
Is Ohio still in SG-7?
The map here shows it as being in SG-9.

I think another cool idea with a frame would be a frame that had gate symbols on it. The symbols on straight metal-looking pieces that had the color and look of the gate. Or even better, have a round Stargate frame. You could have the blue shimmer inside the frame with a rectangular cut-out to but your 8x10 in.

1st attempt. Dollar tree frame+replicator blocks+hot glue gun. It's hard to get them straight. I TRIED to start straight, then they veer off a bit and by then the glue has dried.- 1

A little windy, but sunny today at the Monrovia, Indiana SGC. Looks like a 302 has a coolant leak or something. I can see its vapor trail in the sky.
