https://www.fantasygrounds.com requires that someone purchase a license, they offer multiple levels, so depending on what you wanna invest. My group all pitched in a handful of years ago and purchased a Ultimate license on Steam's Christmas sale when it goes 50% off.
The easiest way to explain how the program works is Fantasy Grounds For Beginners - He does a whole series on how to use the different aspects of the program, but all of them are D&D focused...
They offer two versions now, original FG and Unity, which is meant for newer 64bit systems and has more options.
You get a host of game rulesets for free with purchase (I got all of D&D) and others can be purchased or downloaded for free from places like The Trove or FG's forums, which as a GM gives you the ability to grant access to every player that joins your game. So the rule books and different dice rules are in the program for people to use. It allows you to share images (Such as maps, character pictures, etc) and stores character sheets.
I seriously suggest that if anyone moves forward with this, that you use something like Facebook/Discord/Skype for audio and webcam as the visual feedback is needed for a GM to gauge how the sessions are going.

I have an Ultimate license for Fantasy Grounds, so I'm able to host unlimited games and allow players to use the free demo version as a game client. As I'm running a Palladium Fantasy and Vampire The Masquerade games... I'd be a player and not a GM.

I really wish you luck tracking down the files. I'd love to have a set of the LSD files to turn mine into a working replica.

SCG staff, such as Harriman and Siler
Early F302 Pilots and Gen. Hammond
Crew members of the Prometheus and Daedalus, such as Novak, Major Marks, and Colonel Ronson
It always seemed to me to just be a choice, much like the navy and OD BDU's seen at the SGC.

I've watched a handful of his episodes in the past, he's got a pretty good channel. I really dug his Ghostbuster videos.

I've begun cleaning out my costume closet and plan on posting a smattering of Stargate costumes in the BX in the next couple days.
Seeing as we are all fans of multiple 'verses.... I've got a handful of non-stargate costumes and would like to know if anyone would be interested in me adding them as well?
They are...
2x Resident Evil RPD uniforms, one with a leather duty belt and one with a zombie prosthetic undershirt
1x Resident Evil UBCS Vest and BDU shirt
1x Resident Evil Centurion Armor
1x Fido ZomCon Employee Costume
1x Star Trek TOS Wrap-around
1x Generations Kirk Vest and Duty Shirt

Been talking with Eric about his Airsoft P-90 and offered to upgraded his magazines with a paper insert. Figured I'd share and make a tutorial at the same time.
It's pretty easy project. All that is require is a screwdriver and a pair of scissors.
First, download and print the insert PDF P-90-Magazine-Insert.pdf
Then begin removing the screws, six to start. I've never found a magazine that doesn't follow the same screw layout.
Once removed, you'll have to separate the end cap by pressing in and sliding the cap off, which will release spring that will slide out.
Now that the screws and the cap are removed, you will be able to separate the two sections of the magazine. Inside you'll find another set of screws on the storage for the BB's that will need remove.
Once removed, you'll have to cut out the insert, fold, and trim as needed. The insert will simply lay inside and be held in place by the BB storage.
Then begin reassembling and once complete, you'll have an upgraded magazine. Keeping in mind that the tint of the plastic and printer quality will greatly effect just how visible the insert will be.

If I remember right, the only SG team that had the chevron behind the unit number was SG-1, the other teams had just the back background.
I honestly like the solid background more.
Here are some of the screen used patches from Propworx I snagged for reference.

The only 2.5" versions I've ever found in eight years of searching, are the Air Force (AlchemyArms or Stitches Loft) and US Navy (Ebay), the other commonly available patches are 3" in size.
No offense, but if you have some of the other branches in the correct size, great, but for those that don't, I shared an option to get their own if they want.

As it came up in conversation with Eric today, I'm gonna pass along the details for where I order my 2.5" U.N. and Marine A51AP patches.
I've been using CMpatches, a seller on Etsy. Listing LINK
I've placed multiple orders for different patches (SG UN/Marines, Jericho Allied State Flag, etc) and have never had a problem. Each order has been excellent. I've provided details, in this case 2.5" round, black background, black border, symbol in silver thread, with velcro backing. Which as come to $10 per patch with $5 shipping every time I've ordered.
I've used these two images below when providing the graphic for the patch.

6 hours ago, Riceball said:At any rate, if anyone is looking for something that looks just like the old Blackhawk I recommend contacting Bra'Zat, he's looking at making replica Blackhawk Streamline packs. Hopefully he'll post something on the site about this project.
Already ahead of you 🙂 Working out payment details right now for his listing in the BX and really looking forward to getting one.

Given how hard it is to locate the proper BK Streamline backpack... what have you, or your group, been using for a backpack with your SG loadout?
I altered a few Jan Sport backpacks that I found on ebay for $5 a piece.
The backpack has no liner, and exposed seam inside, which is easily reachable when turned inside out. I just removed the shoulder straps, then resewed the seam closed. Sewed down a bit if nylon 1" strapping on the back, with a slide lock and the matching buckle to my vest.
Using the already attacked 1" strap used to adjust the shoulder straps, at the bottom of the back. I used another slide lock, quick released buckle, and a piece of 1" nylon strap looped, with velcro sewn on for each side. Which gives a attach point to my pistol belt.
Then attached a canteen and mag pouch, which was honestly the hardest part of the whole project. While not screen accurate, I find it serviceable.
Whole project cost me $30.
Backpack - $5
Buckles/Slide Lock - $5
Canteen - $10
Mag Pouch - $10

Just now, Riceball said:So, instead of modifying your existing vest you're going to just make a brand new one from scratch? Wow, that's pretty ambitious.
That was more or less the plan. I haven't gotten around to staring due to life getting in the way.

A few years ago, I decided to alter my spare Medic Vest and use it for parts to make a new better fitting vest. Who knew that a couple years spent in a cruiser patrolling the county and getting fast food wouldn't help my clothing size?
I tracked down some black mesh fabric called 1.5mm Polyester Hex-Mesh from a company called Ahh Specialized Textile Outfitters. I ordered a sample and it matched.
I'd planned on just removing everything from my small vest (Trim, pouches, webbing, etc), and move it to the new vest. A project that I really need to get to...
It seemed like a better option then sewing a spacer, that would go between the two sections with eyelets on both sides, to attach both front and back too. Which I did for my SGA vest.

10 hours ago, SG Merc said:What are you using for the lenses? Did you see the jewelry glass pieces posted on SG1Props a few weeks ago? Another member used some beveled pieces which turned out pretty nice. I'm probably going to bulk order the components and integrate into the kit.
I purchased the same pendant glass inserts and gotta say, they do fit perfectly. I wanna dremel out the space a little so that I can use the flush sides instead of the dome. So I'm gonna have to wait till after my physical therapy to finish it up.
If I can get a hold of a drill press, I'll drill out the hole a bit, as I wouldn't trust free handing it.
Get that nice light passing through it effect.
2 hours ago, Eric Voiers said:I remember one impressive piece he has is a replica of McKays computer.
The M1400?
I have a second one with the same production flash files, that I could be convinced to part with if someone is really interested. :)

You're absolutely correct Merc and I show them off every chance I get too. If only I could give the creator of some of those replicas a chance to plug his wonderful products too.
I got a set of plastic lenses for the P90 optics, but haven't had a chance to do anything with them since the arm surgery last month. I'll post pictures once I get a chance to install them.

While it took a good long time, my pack was waiting on me when I arrived home today. While he repeatedly kept me updated during the wait time, and was super apologetic about the delays, it was worth the wait. Now to just slim down and hit the conventions when they start again.
