Rolling your sleeves the "US Army Way"

Recommended Posts

This tutorial will instruct you on how to roll up your sleeves the "US Army Way".  The US Air Force uses this style as well.   Currently with Operational Camouflage Pattern depending on your Base Commander you can roll up your sleeves year round.  At the time I made this tutorial, I used 6-Color Desert Camo, also known as "Chocolate Chip".

As of September 27, 2016 Soldiers in Garrison can wear their OCP ACUs sleeves rolled up with camo outward (The US Army Way) or inward (The USMC Way).   https://www.army.mil/article/175866/army_issues_new_guidance_on_rolling_cuffing_sleeves  To learn how to roll up your sleeves the "USMC Way" see our tutorial on "Rolling your sleeves the US Marines Way"

The is the "US Army Way" to roll up your sleeves (originally the Army stopped allowing sleeves to be rolled up on uniforms issued after the BDUs).

Step 1: Remove the shirt (Blouse).  You cannot roll up your sleeves in this way with the shirt on.

Step 2:  Unbutton the cuff tab

The US Army chose to roll up their sleeve this way so you could pull them down quickly.

Step 1:  Pull cuff end downwards

Strange cuff seam on that blouse...  Very narrow! These would be super old though!

They just hemmed it instead of an actual cuff being attached like I always had...
