So, how has it turned out?

I personally would rather dress as per the original TV Stargate SG-1 team, in BDU uniform but with SG-23 patch. I do not wish to wear MPT or other British kit.

I disagree, SG teams are an 'Elite' special trained unit within the SGC and as such, at the completion of training ALL team members should be presented with a unit beret (all same colour) complete with the SGC beret patch. That is ALL SG teams no matter which country they are from. Bearing in mind there will be some multi nation teams. This would create it's own Esprit de Corps (A pride in the teams). So, it no longer matters which branch you are originally from, or wether one is a civilian. If you have completed the course, earned the beret and SG patch you are SGC. Now for others within the command, base security, technician, electrician, builder what ever your trade you, keep your units beret and patch (Or a different colour beret to the teams with SGC patch).
