  1. I have a vest I bought "used" years ago. It looked okay, but smelled like the bottom of a cat litter box. Literally. No pun intended. As I recall, I used dawn dish soap for the basic cleaning, rinsed it thoroughly with warm water so all the soap was gone and then used several spray baths of febreeze. Clean and not stinky now. 🙂
  2. "I" wouldn't just toss it in the wash, but I WOULD hand wash it. Dish soap, warm water and a cloth will do wonders. And hang it dry. Do NOT tumble dry. Some lite scrubbing should get the paint residue mostly off.
  3. That MP5 is interesting as well! Totally NOT an offworld team weapon. The older SEF firing selector and not the more modern ambidextrous model, wrong scope mount and doesn't have the AR-15 scope either. Interesting!
  4. Placeholder post. Info to be added later.
  5. The item descriptions are based on what was seen on the TV series. This is the "screen accurate" model. As a costumer you can use whatever you like if the "correct version" cannot be found. It's your costume to make as accurate as you choose. 1) Sidearms - Taurus PT-92 9mm Handgun. - Beretta 92F 9mm handgun. These pistols are blued steel with black plastic handgrips. The Taurus was used for half of season 1. The Beretta 92F (Civilian model of the Beretta M9 Military) was used after that. For costuming purposes, the M9 version is easier to find replicas of. A few episodes use suppressed versions with threaded muzzle to screw on the suppressor. The actual extended barrel with threads isn't seen on screen. 2) Primary Weapons - Heckler & Koch MP5A5 The standard weapon of SG Offworld teams through the first half of the series. Select fire version of the H&K 9mm Submachine gun. It has the select fire "Navy" selector group, with pictograms for safety, single fire and auto. This model has a collapsible stock and not the solid stock. (NOTE: The pictured MP5 model has the incorrect trigger grouping. The SG-1 MP5 has the Navy style, which features Safety, Single shot and auto.) Accessories include: Standard capacity 30 round magazines with a double mag clip connecting two magazines. Surefire brand tactical foregrip light with pressure switch. Custom scope mount using an H&K quick detach scope mount and an AR-5 carry handle scope. The scope is an earlier design with the elevation and windage knobs located to the rear of the scope tube. This model is not currently in production. 3 point MP5 tactical sling. Suppressor (This rarely seen attachment was still used in a few episodes). It is not standard issue. (Screencap from S1 episode, Cold Lazarus) (Fan made replica by Rookscastle.com) - FN (Fabrique Nationale) P90 PDW 5.7x28mm "Personal Defensive Weapon." This first appeared in Season 4 and became the primary weapon used by SG-1 until the end of the series. The model used has an integrated sight on the top of the weapon. The airsoft replica has a red dot sight, where the real weapon has a switchable night "T" sight and a white daytime ring site. Accessories include: Translucent 50 round magazines (standard). Custom front carry sling with body harness (worn under vest). Streamlight Scorpion tactical light mounted to right side. Optional - "laser" unit mounted to left side (Kull warrior Disruptor, etc.) -AR "Carter Special" According to the IMFDB, "This weapon is a customized Olympic Arms K23B fitted with... Bushmaster free-floating quadruple-rail forend Bell & Carlson thumbhole stock. ELCAN OS3 4x28 sight Beta C-Mag drum magazine or standard 30 round AR mags. Vertical foregrip Side-mounted flashlight on the accessory rail. The first appearance is in the episode "Avenger 2.0" (S07E09)." It was called the "Carter Special" because Carter was the only one to use it. - Daewoo USAS-12 Assault Shotgun 12 Gauge semi-auto shotgun. Typically seen on the series with a 20 round drum magazine attached. In the pilot episode it had a muzzle brake. Later in the series it did not. Also had no front sight. - Franchi SPAS-12 with metal folding Stock 12 Gauge shotgun used during season 5 vs the Replicators. Visually identical to the one used by Muldoon in Jurassic Park. The version seen on SG-1 does NOT have the metal hook on the stock. 3) Knives and Misc. - M9 Phrobis Bayonet, OD green The standard issue "survival" knife. It has the utility pouch on top. MK3 USN Knife Seen used by Carter on SG-1. 4) Heavy Weapons -Daewoo K3 (M249 Mockup) Modified Korean LMG mocked up to look like the American M249. Seen throughout the series.
